Homeopathy Treatment

  • About homoeopathy:

“Homoeopathy” a system of holistic healing was invented by Samuel Christian Hahnemann (1755-1843), a German physician. Homeopathy is a well-described, scientifically based system of approaching health and disease. Homoeopathic remedies are unique in their actions, seeking to help stimulate the body’s own defence systems to enable a completely natural cure.

During the late 1700’s, Dr. Hahnemann became disillusioned with the rather crude and dangerous medical practices of his day. He set out to find an alternative method of healing which led him to the discovery of the first principle of homeopathy; “like cures like,” which is also known as the “law of similars.”

Dr. Hahnemann observed that substances that produce symptoms of a disease in healthy people in large dosages, will cure the same symptoms when given in very minute (diluted) amounts. Dr. Hahnemann named his new healing science by combining the two Greek combining forms homeo-, meaning “same,” and pathy, meaning “suffering.”

Homeopathy is based on the philosophy that the body, mind and emotions are not really separate and distinct, but are actually fully integrated. Based on this perspective, a homeopath seeks a remedy that fits all of a patient’s physical and psychological symptoms.

Homeopathy does not seek to remove or suppress symptoms. Its goal is to recognize and remove the underlying cause of these symptoms. This is why a homeopath will work toward understanding the whole person — including their body, mind and emotional state — before prescribing a remedy.

One of the main reasons why homoeopathy is liked by many people is because it is seen as not having any potentially negative side-effects that are often attached to conventional medicines. “do-no-harm” is mantra of homoeopathy.

A bonus of homeopathy is that it makes you an all-round healthier person. It strengthens your immune system besides for treating your ailment, so this means you can build your body into a healthier and stronger being. From an eco-friendly perspective, if you have sustainable health you require less medicine and the use of natural resources to produce it, benefiting both you and the environment in the long-term.
