தமிழர் தம்மொழி, கலை, இலக்கியம், மரபு, பண்பாடு, அறிவியல் கருத்துக்கள் மற்றும் பெரியோரது சிந்தனைகள் ஆகியவற்றை அனைவரும் புரிந்துணர்ந்துக் கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கில் தமிழ்ப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் தொலைநிலைக் கல்வி வாயிலாக இளநிலை, முதுநிலை, பட்டயம், சான்றிதழ் மற்றும் முதுநிலைப் பட்டயம் எனும் நிலைகளில் பல்வேறு பாடங்களை வழங்கி வருகின்றது. தமிழர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் பள்ளிப்பருவத்தில் இருந்து எந்த வயதினரும் ஏதாவதொரு காலக்கட்டத்தில் தமிழ்ப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தோடு தொடர்பு கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்ற இந்தநன் முயற்சிக்கு ஒத்துழைப்புத் தரவேண்டும். மொழி வளம் காக்க, மரபு போற்ற, தமிழின் சிறப்புகளை அடுத்ததலை முறையினரும் தெரிந்துகொள்ள உதவுவதற்கு தமிழர் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் தமிழ்ப் பல்கலைக்கழக தொலைநிலைக்கல்வி இயக்ககத்தில் மாணவராய்ச் சேர்வதற்கு அழைப்பதில் பெருமகிழ்வு அடைகிறேன். வாழ்கதமிழ்.
